Family day at the Gödöllő Royal Castle

Family day at the Gödöllő Royal Castle

In 2015 Duna-Ipoly National Park Directorate (DINPD) celebrated the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Gödöllői Dombvidék Landscape Protection Area. For this occasion DINPD organised a free family day in the park of Gödöllő Royal Castle on 06 September 2015.

Luckily it was a bright sunny day that brought many participants, mainly families to the event. They could take part in several environmental education programmes designed for schoolchildren or participate at a public workshop in the Baroque Theatre of the castle with lectures on the HUGRASSLANDS project and nature and cultural values of sub-sites in the Landscape Protection Area. Guided tours in the park of the castle were held for visitors about the history of the park and nature values found there. Two family concerts were also organised with popular artists Bea Palya and Veronika Tarján.
